China Railway Industry Relay Standard Revision Meeting Held at Hongfa

Recently, the revision meeting for the China Railway Industry Standard TB/T 2762-2017 was successfully held at Hongfa. The purpose of the meeting was to update the “Locomotive and Rolling Stock Electrical Equipment — Relays” industry standard to better meet the rising performance requirements driven by the rapid development of China’s rail transit industry. The revision work is overseen by the Subcommittee on Locomotive and Rolling Stock Electrical Equipment of the Railway Industry Electrical Equipment and Systems Standardization Technical Committee, with drafting participation from CRRC Dalian, CRRC Yongji Electric, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, CRRC Datong, CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive, Xiamen Hongfa Electroacoustic Co., Ltd., and China Aerospace Electronics Co., Ltd.

With China’s rail transit sector expanding rapidly, the industry has placed increasing demands on relay performance—particularly in areas such as environmental adaptability and operational stability. The current TB/T 2762-2017 standard no longer fully aligns with actual use requirements. Key updates are needed, including specifications for rapid temperature changes, salt spray resistance, environmental adaptability, and mandatory positioning (mechanical interlocking) requirements.

During the meeting, participating organizations conducted in-depth discussions and preliminary revisions across ten major categories, including normative references, product classification, environmental conditions, main parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. The focus was placed on improving the standard’s applicability in guiding relay design, manufacturing, and inspection across the entire product lifecycle.

As both the host and one of the drafting units, Hongfa’s participation in the revision process will further enhance the technical specifications for its relay products. This effort will provide strong technical support for the safe and stable application of Hongfa’s relays in rail transit systems and contribute to elevating the overall standardization level of China’s railway equipment industry.
